The body of the banjo is shaped like a circular flower that has six slightly curved petals. The edges of the body have been stained with a dark brown finish giving the edges a glossy look. The top and bottom of the body of the banjo are made of two unfinished wood panels which are a light brown color. Attached near the end of the body of the banjo is a semi circle piece of wood which is hollow in the center. This piece of wood has three holes drilled into it in which the strings of the instrument are tied. The neck of the instrument is made of a long rectangular piece of wood which is flat on the top side and rounded on the bottom. This piece is the same color and finish as the edges of the body. Running across this neck starting with short spacing but then getting wider are triangular thin raised piece of wood. There are twelve of these piece and they make up the frets of the banjo. At the top of the instrument the neck curves slightly downward before curving up sharply. In the curved part there are inserted three handles which has rounded ends and curves running down there length. These handles are made of a light yellow colored wood and have a glossy finish also. Attached to these handles are the other ends of the three strings and by twisting the handles the strings can be tightened or loosened. All the strings are clear plastic and they lie down the neck of the instrument. Attached on the upward curve of the banjo is a piece of carved wood which is shaped like a flower. The carving has leaves and flowers running around the outside of the circle. In the center of this circle there is the carving of a flower with lines scored in the wood around it.
