Custodial history

Made by Louis Hautier's cook [ca 1860s]. Passed on to Alphonse Hautier (son). He gave it to Elizabeth McDonalson. She had it framed in Vancouver. After her death her husband Bert gave it to Ernie & Isabelle Glasgow so it would stay in Lytton. Isabelle's father had been a good friend of the Hautiers. Isabelle donated it to the Museum.

Scope and content

Silk thread on silk backing. Picture is of Phoenix & dragon (looks more like a dog with a split tail) Phoenix is in beige thread, dragon in pink. There are flowers of various pastel colours.
