Found by the chimney of Gee Kwon (building 087) in the fall of 2003.

Scope and content

A small envelope, the back of which is stamped with a commercial stamp of Chinese Characters and English lettering and reads in part "Kwong Yee Jane & Co . . . . . Hong Kong . . . ." On the front of the envelope are hand-written Chinese characters. This may have been a gift of cash (lucky money?) from the company stamped on the back to some sort of group or organization.One of the characters in the first line is identified as "salt water".

The top horizontal line of three Chinese characters: Vancouver (known as Saltwater City among early Chinese immigrants in BC). The vertical line below suggests this was a gift. It's uncertain who the recipient was.
