A Chinese plate. The object is a glazed piece of porcelain, hand turned, with an all over green tone under glaze. Multi- coloured enamel brushwork applied over the glaze decorates the face of the plate . The brushwork depicts the "Four Seasons" pattern. A potter's mark appears on the undersurface of the plate in red brush, but has all but disappeared. Three "touch" marks also appear on the underside. Ph1 2006, PH2 2007
