Jumbo’s cabin was constructed in the early 1880’s as a payroll office for the Union Colliery Company, and in the 1900’s the cabin was Cumberland’s jailhouse. Jumbo (aka Hor Sue Mah) took the cabin as his home in approximately 1912 and he continued to live there for 50 years. Photo ca. early 1960's.
