A pair of Chinese symbols using black ink on two rectangular red papers. (2-1) "cai zhan ren toi (Chinese symbols). (2-1) "fa cai zhan (Chinese symbols)". They were on the same layer as 991.285.616 and 617. Chinese symbols and covered with a light yellow paper on which the another symbol, 991.285.615. Which was covered last with a light blue cardboard. Apothecary's Balance (Weights & Measures T&E)
Used in Dai Song Tong herbalist shop operated by Wong Kee (a.k.a. Wong Wah Soon) at 10 Pine Street. Wong Kee was a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. He operated Dai Song Tong until the early 1920s. The balancing scale was used to weigh ingredients for making medicine. The artifact was donated to the Nanaimo Museum by one of Wong Kee's sons, Chuck Wong.

1two piece costume, consisting of apron and jacket. Cream silk decorated with dark blue sequins, glass beads, "fishtail" hems on apron and jacket.
Apron from Dai kow General's Costume. Apron is pale green with steel blue, pink, purple, green and gold floral sequin pattern. Pattern is accented with glass tube beads, in same colours.Attached to bottom of Apron are lace tassels. Tassels are silk with blue and red pattern around gold painted plastic beads. Apron is lined with white silk and is fastened with ties at the waistband.

Attached to bottom of apron are lace tassels. Tassels are silk with blue and red pattern around purple glass beads. Apron is lined with white silk and fastened with ties at the waistband.
A beige coloured worker's apron. A total of three pocket appear on the front of the artifact. At the top of these are a total of four steel fasteners, upon each of which "TROY" appears in raised lettering. A neck loop has been attached to the body of the item through the use of two similar fasteners. There is a belt which has a steel fastening device and a black painted button for fastening the belt. On the back of the artifact, "TSANG PAT LOW" appears in black hand printed lettering.; DE2 PH1 2006
