This tin once contained opium and was likely used by some of the Chinese Community.

A large paperback Chinese almanac written in Chinese except for some pages which have many English words. The pages are bound with thread or string which literally has sewn the pages together. Over the spine and binding a red tape has been applied. The front cover has a picture of an old man leaning on a staff with two children, a reindeer and a bird around him. At the bottom of the book, on the page-ends, is written in felt pen: "1988" and two Chinese characters. The book is read from right to left. The paper is newsprint.

A rectangularly shaped paper tea wrapper. On the upper surface of the item, there appear a total of four red inked stamped imprints. The first of these exhibits three areas of Chinese characters, beneath which appears "NET WEIGHT 2 1 2 OZ". The second stamped imprint is oval in shape. At its centre there appears the image of an animal. Around this, manufacturer information appears within two parallel lines. The third stamped marking is square in shape, and it contains numerous Chinese characters. The fourth imprint is rectangular in shape and it contains product information. The last stamp is circular in shape, and it contains patent date information. PH1 2006 PH3 2008
