The calligraphy on this parchment is commemorating the grand opening of the Dart Coon Club, that was located in Cumberland B.C. The Dart Coon Club was a 3 story building that would take in unemployed and loneless laborers who would pay a debt once he was found.

This is a 1965 calendar from the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

This tapestry was gifted to Dr. Robert Lawrence in appreciation for his services to the Chinese community in Chinatown, Cumberland B.C. He was given this gift when he moved to Vancouver B.C. -The Chinese Community in Cumberland had this tapestry made in China for $500.00. Dr. Robert Lawrence was the first doctor in the Cumberland area and he was also the treasurer of the original hospital board. Dr. Lawrence served the Cumberland miners from 1890-1900.

This style was not considered to be a quality jacket, it was the least expensive of their kind as they usually had silk brocade.
