The series consists of a sound recording of a lecture on the Hudson's Bay saltery at Chilliwack Mountain, and the search to determine its exact location; as well as a portion of a lecture on Chinese immigrants in B.C.

The series consists of collected information on the Dutch, Ukrainian, East Indian, Chinese, German, and Mennonite communities of B.C., and particularly of Chilliwack compiled by Jessica A. Sutherland, Ethnic Research employed by the Chilliwack Museum and Historical Society in 1979 as part of a Ethnic Research Study. The series includes summaries of interviews with immigrants, photocopies of printed items, photographs, and research notes.

Series consists of copies of the research materials, notes and analysis compiled by Chad Reimer, PhD, for his book: "Chilliwack's Chinatowns: A History", which was published in September 2011 by the Chinese Canadian Historical Society of British Columbia and the Initiative for Student Teaching and Research in Chinese Canadian Studies at the University of British Columbia.

Box contains an appeal for donations from Victoria's Chi Kung Tong, a cooking book, and a grocery store inventory.

Box includes an appeal to raise funds to sue Kwan Ah Shan for stealing Chow Ka Juk's money and gold, and Chong Tai Co. account books from Prince Goerge.

Box includes individual slips of red paper bearing the name "Chi Kung Tong," an account book of indebted members to the Chi Kung Tong in Quesnelle Forks, and an income and expenditure account book.
