Scope and content

This object is a set of three miniature pieces to a tea service set. The set is made of a silver colored sterling metal and there is a small bit of tarnish on the surface of the pieces. The first piece is a small tea pot with a removable lid. The teapot is quite round with a half heart shaped handle with a slightly curved spout on the front. The lid is round with a T shaped handle on the top. The design on the sides of the pot is of a dragon slithering its way around the outside of the pot. The second piece is a short and stout sugar jar which has a round body and removable lid. The sugar jar has two half heart shaped handles on either side container. The lid is round with a T shaped handle on the top. On the sides of the sugar container there is a design of long leaves around the edges. The last miniature piece is a cream jug. The body of the jug is quite round with a smooth neck that creates a spout. The handle of the back of the jug is half heart shaped. The design along the edge of the jug is also of long leaves much like the sugar container. All three pieces have small Chinese characters stamped into the bottom of the metal.
