The main body of the teapot is large and cylindrical with a slightly angled edge around the top which has a raised ringed lip. The inside of the teapot is hollow and there is a black dirt speckles at the bottom of the pot. Attached on the side of the pot there is a curved spout which is fairly cylindrical in shape with a wide bottom thinning near the pouring tip. This spout is also hollow to allow the pouring of the tea and has some brown build up near the tip. Attached on the top edge of the object just above the spout it and on the opposite side of the lip are two semi-circle pieces of ceramic with two holes in each. Attached through the holes are two U shaped pieces of metal which created the handles of the object and are covered in an orange colored waxy string. The string in unraveling in some places. The entire object is an off white color which has a shiny finish. On the sides of the object there are intricate designs painted in a variety of green, orange, pink, and blue colors. These design range from flowers, birds, butterflies, and two scenes of three Chinese people together. The lid of the object is the same color as the rest of the teapot also with green, orange, and pink designs of leaves and flowers on it. The lid is round with an indented center. The underside of the lid is dark brown presumably from tea stain or dirt and is slightly sticky.
