Scope and content

This print image depicts a Chinese man standing outside a board and batten sided building. He is standing on a flattened plank beside a large black dog. The man is wearing a shirt, and his sweater is covered by a long white apron. One of his arms is hanging straight while the other is crooked at the elbow and his hand is on his hip. There is a man's face looking out of the doorway. The flattened plank he is standing on leads to stairs that go up to an open doorway. On the bottom of the image are Chinese written symbols. Translation of the Chinese symbols is as follows "Chung Chow Festival". August 15, an annual celebration similar to Christmas, Easter, or Thanksgiving. Or "Mid Autumn Festival, (the first two characters on the right,), the two characters on the left may be a person's name.
